It’s made of sustainably harvested wood, in this case beechwood & its handle is preserved with linseed oil. Its bristles are all natural pig hair. The bristles may seem hard the first time you use the brush, but you will find that they will begin to soften quickly when moistened. So you can adjust the bristles hardness by the length of time you keep it under water. To make the bristles really soft you can leave the toothbrush under the warm water for a few minutes before use.
You might think “yuk, pig hair!”, but worry not, the pig hair is completely sanitized. And it is sustainably sourced…

The head of the toothbrush is wrapped in a small piece of compostable cellulose cellophane held with a metal/cardboard clip that is 100% recyclable.
